Lina Inverse is a sorceress unlike any other. She's short, she's loud, and she commands enough power to level a large city. She's a self-made Robin Hood that robs from bandits, and gives to herself. However, her world is quickly turned upside-down when she comes into the possession of a rare Orihalcon statue. Now, everybody from wandering heroes, to the legendary Red Priest Rezo are after her.

Joined by air-headed swordsman Gourry, shamanistic chimera Zelgadis, and the perky princess Amelia, Lina must push forward to prevent the revival of the ancient demon lord Shabranigdo.
