Soon after the original pressing of the first Urusei Yatsura TV DVD box set was released to those who had preordered it, a production glitch was discovered in the second disc of the set, potentially causing compatibility issues with some players. The source of the production glitch was tracked down and a second pressing of disc 2 was attempted, but unfortunately, many of these repressed discs exhibited a similar "coffee mark" effect, leading to yet another pressing run.

Finally, on their third attempt, AnimEigo has squashed all the production glitches and pumped out a new set of error free UY discs. Shipping has now started on these corrected sets, containing the updated disc 2, as well as a corrected liner notes insert for disc 3, and replacements for those currently stuck with the original defective discs will be sent out Tuesday.
