Warner Brothers has opened its official homepage for the live-action Death Note movie.

FUNimation is currently searching for volunteers to represent the company at conventions. Representatives will mingle with attendees in exchange for attendance to the convention, as well as other benefits. Applicants must be age 18 or older to qualify.

Anime Nation reports that a 4Kids Forum administrator recently announced the termination of "MewMew Power" (Tokyo Mew Mew). The administrator stated that 4Kids has aired all 26 of the episodes that the company's distribution license entails, and the company does not plan to acquire the rights to air the second season.

According to Anime Nation, Howl's Moving Castle is one of three official nominees for the 2005 Academy Award for Best Animated Feature. The other two films nominated are Tim Burton's The Corpse Bride, and Wallace & Gromit in The Curse of the Were-Rabbit.

Manga Entertainment has announced that several of the company's licenses expired. The following titles expired:

  • Guyver: Bio-Booster Armour
  • Fist of the North Star (TV)
  • New Dominion Tank Police
  • Red Hawk
  • Dark Myth
  • Black Magic M-66
  • Wings of Honneamise
  • Gunbuster
  • Patlabor movies 1 and 2

Currently, Bandai Visual USA holds the rights to the Patlabor movies.
