In the near future, a brilliant network programmer decides that current shows are unworthy of humanity's interest. When the masses stop watching, a frantic race for the next big thing begins. Mankind's TV watching fate will be decided on Toonami. The future of our world rests with the crew of Blue Submarine No. 6.

Toonami will begin showing the Blue Sub No. 6 mini-series on November 6th right on through the 9th. For each of those evenings at 6 PM, Toonami will be treating you to an exquisite feast of CG animation at its finest. In anticipation of the broadcast, Toonami has launched a lovely little website for perusing pleasure. The website basically consists of a pretty blue picture and the Toonami commercial for Blue Sub No. 6, but you might as well take a looksie for yourself. (Ed. Note: except you can't, because the site no longer exists. d0h!)

Blue Submarine No. 6 tells the story of a future where a brilliant scientist named Zorndyke decides that humanity has degraded into a creature unworthy of Mother Earth. The oceans rise and creatures of the sea battle with humanity for supremacy and survival. Zorndyke's plot to detroy humanity has only one flaw: The crew of Blue Submarine No. 6. You can check out some of the visually stunning screenshots here, courtesy of your friendly neighborhood Legion.

Don't forget that it starts today! You don't want to miss this one. So make sure to swim on home and float yourself in front of your TV in time. That is, if your TV still works after the world is flooded.
