Paprika-Sprinkled Nanas Sail FUNimation's Seven Seas in Search of Robos

Sony Home Entertainment announced that its "October 31" release date for Paprika was an error. The title is slated for an American theatrical run in March of 2007, followed by a DVD release.

Seven Seas is currently seeking experienced, professional Japanese-to-English translators for employment on future titles.

Japanese popular music star Nana Kitade is scheduled for an American appearance at San Francisco's Virgin Megastore. Kitade's appearance is scheduled to coincide with the domestic release of her first domestic album, 18-eighteen-. The event is scheduled for August 2, 2006 at 7:00PM. Kitade is best known for her performance of Robo Days's ending theme. While in America, Kitade will also appear on an upcoming broadcast of Shibuya Airwaves, which broacasts Saturdays and Sundays at 11:00PM-12:00AM on San Francisco 1550 KYCY AM.

The FUNimation channel is set to expand to several markets on Verizon's FiOS (Fiber Optic Service) TV. The network launched today in Texas, Florida, California, Virginia, Massachusetts, Maryland and New York, with plans for expansion into other markets in the near future.

Toei and Disney announced a joint production deal today, which involves productions for Disney's "Jetix" block. The first project is Robo Days, which is the first animated Toei program to use computer generated effects. No plot details are currently known.
