Bandai Entertainment issued a formal announcement regarding the upcoming Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex ~ Solid State Society OVA. The announcement advises fansub groups to refrain from downloading and fansubbing the feature. The announcement continues to state that legal action will be brought upon groups that illegally distribute or obtain anime titles licensed by Bandai. Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex Solid State Society was announced by Bandai at this year's Anime Expo convention. The feature is scheduled to premiere in Japan on September 1, 2006 via SKYPerfecTV pay-per-view. A DVD release is set to follow on November 24. No US release date has been announced yet.
