Libre's Overflowing Zombie Pit Releases Mononoke's Higurashi!

Japanese manga publisher Libre Publishing recently issued a public statement regarding Central Park Media's Be Beautiful line of boys' love comics. Libre alleges that Central Park Media is publishing unauthorized translations of Libre's titles without the authorization of the titles' creators or publisher. Libre states that the translations are "illegal" and is encouraging customers to not purchase Be Beautiful publications. The statement does not specify which Be Beautiful titles are deemed unauthorized. Central Park Media has declined to comment on this matter, citing that the company does not publicly comment on licensor issues.

PC game developer Overflow announced that its adults-only visual novel School Days will receive an animated adaptation. The title is scheduled to debut on Japanese television in July.

Moon Phase reports that Peach-Pit's action manga Zombie-Loan will receive a televised animated adaptaion. Currently, a premiere date is unknown.

According to Moon Phase, Mononoke will receive an anime adaptation in July. Not related to Studio Ghibli's Princess Mononoke, the title is a spin-off of Ayakashi ~Japanese Classic Horror~'s Bakeneko story arc.

The official Higurashi no Naku Koroni website contains an official announcement of a second Higurashi television series. The title is scheduled to premiere in July, though no further details are currently known.
