Ever think that all those toys from anime, movies, manga, comics, and games were cool? Well, they are sooo cool that they deserve their own museum, and now they have one! Yokohama, Japan is the proud home to the first, but hopefully not the last, character-toy museum. The museum has been well-named as the Yokohama Character Toys Specialist Museum. I know I couldn't think of a better one.

The exhibits occupy four floors, displaying 40,000 items from the famous 100,000-item collection of Teruhisa Kitahara. Various character goods like figures, capsule toys and prototypes from antique to new are all on display. The collection even includes food packages (wonder if I could still eat it?) that feature well-known characters. It even has Disney and Star Wars toys. Let's just say it has a lot of friggin' stuff, ok?

If you're planning a trip there, you ought to know it's open 365 days a year from 10:00 - 20:00 (10 AM - 8 PM for us weirdos who use a 12 hour system), so if you're in the area, make sure to drop by and take a visit. Oh, and if you do, take pictures! Take pictures and send them to me! I like pictures... if you go and don't send me pictures, I'll... I'll... well, I'll have to curse you to anime hell! Remember anime hell has nothing but Disney dubbed anime there, and no one wants to see that.
