ADV Films announced its acquisition of Makoto Shinkai's Byousoku 5 CM. The title will be released in America as 5cm Per Second: A Chain of Short Stories About Their Distance. ADV plans to debut 5cm Per Second in a limited theatrical release prior to the film's December 2007 DVD release.

IGN reports that ADV Films has snagged the rights to the Xenosaga animated series. The first volume is scheduled to be released on September 11, 2007.

According to Anime on DVD, Eyeshield 21 will be released on the Toonami Jetstream and NFL Rush services. Currently, there are no plans for a domestic DVD release.

Warner Home Video announced that the company has acquired a master license for Appleseed: Ex Machina. The license grants home video and television rights to Warner in all countries outside of Japan. Appleseed: Ex Machina is scheduled for a 2008 release on high-definition disc and standard DVD.
