A Glimpse Into The Future Of Fanboy And GontaroAnyone having recently visited Fanboy Entertainment's website will have likely noticed a teaser of sorts, simply titled "a glimpse into the future - fanboy 2001." The first glimpse of what the future held for the company came in the form of an eye-catching piece of Kia Asamiya art. Not long after its appearance on Fanboy's site, it was revealed that the art was from Asamiya's Möbius Klein series and that Fanboy had secured the domestic publication rights to the manga.

Now another hint of future Fanboy projects has hit the site in the way of another piece of intriguing art, as pictured above. While clues like the file name of the image, titled "gontaro.jpg," were enough to point in the direction of a project between Fanboy and artist Gontaro, C.B. Cebulski recently confirmed this possibility. Few details are currently available on these upcoming projects, other than to expect a number of announcements in the weeks to come, but Gontaro should be providing art for the Fanboy website as often as on a biweekly basis.

Until more information and art is available, take a peek at a few samples showcasing Gontaro's ample artistic talent:

Born in Tokyo, Japan, Gontaro current lives in Brooklyn, New York, where he works as a freelance illustrator / character designer. Gontaro's past work has included character designs for Toybiz, Art Asylum, and now Fanboy, among others. An amusing quote from Gontaro's website describes him as follows: "I draw on the computer so I am like a scientist, but I wake up at noon so I am like an artist." Ah, how I wish I could live the life of an artist too... wait, I don't get up till past noon anyway =P
