There was some anime series released at some point in the past called Sakura Taisen. I think one of the editors that works at this site likes it or something.....I can't remember which one it is, though. Perhaps it was Shikuro, then again maybe not (ES note: Shikuro likes Love Hina). Well, apparently it's pretty popular, and the original game has spawned a few anime series, sequel games, and other merchandise. Now, they have released an actual Dreamcast system (as of December 28th) that features Sakura Taisen.

So if you by chance have ever heard of this Sakura Taisen, you might know what I'm talking about. Hmmm....ya know I think it was Elfshadow who was the Sakura Taisen fan. No, that doesn't sound right (ES note: ES got tricked by Buyrite Games and never received his copy of ST, so it couldn't be him). Well, anyway the system is pink and features all your favorite characters from Sakura Taisen. A picture is worth a thousand words, so here's three.

The Sakura Taisen Dreamcast controller
The Sakura Taisen Dreamcast itself, including a special Sakura mail program (Kinematron Hanagumi Mail) that comes with it.Extra kawaii extra Sakura controller

The system in all of it's pink glory is gonna set Sakura fans back about $315 US from places like NCSX, though it retails for 25800 yen in Japan. Not a bad deal overall. FEENA! It had to have been her....she was the Sakura nut (ES note: Yes! You win!). No, not her either (ES note: Was too :P). It will come to me eventually. If you want this system you better order now, 'cause they are selling like water in a desert. Pretty good for some series "nobody" has ever heard of.

Not only for some reason did they make a Dreamcast featuring Sakura Taisen, but now they are making another video game. Sakura Taisen 3: Is Paris Burning? is gonna cost $75 to $80 depending where you order it from. However I am sure Shiguma being the huge fan that he.....Shiguma isn't the one either. Well Sakura Taisen 3 is due out March 22nd in Japan, so if you have by some chance heard of it, you might want to get it. A US release of either the Dreamcast or the game is unlikely and nothing has been said about it at this time.

Now by process of elimination I have deduced that Legion is the Sakura Taisen fan, however that doesn't seem right either. If none of them are the Sakura Taisen fans....the who could it be....I feel like I'm missing something (ES note: forgetting Sumire, the OTHER big Sakura fan? ^_~). Well, I guess I should be ordering my Sakura Taisen Dreamcast even if I have never heard of the series ^_^.
