New York Comic Con Brings One More Wave of Announcments

At the New York Comic Con, Yen Press announced its acquisition of five new manga properties. Soul Eater, Nabari no Ou, Sumomomomomomo, Bamboo Blade, and Higurashi no Naku Koro ni will debut in Yen Press's upcoming anthology magazine, with collected volumes hitting in early 2009. Yen Press's anthology will hit stores on July 29.

Del Rey announced its acquisition of four new titles. Gakuen Prince, Samurai 7, Sayonara Zetsubo Sensei, and The Case of the Dragon Slayer will join Del Rey's current lineup that includes titles such as Negima! and Genshiken. Currently, no release dates have been announced.

Digital Manga revealed that they acquired the license to Osamu Tezuka's Swallowing the Earth. Currently, no release information has been announced. Swallowing the Earth is one of Tezuka's earliest manga titles for adult readers, with an original publication date of 1968.
