Pop music group EXILE announced that they will produce additional episodes of Examurai. The EXILE Entertainment Best CD will include an OVA titled Roppongi Jigoku no Sho, which will include the seven members of the band. The OVA is a sequel to last year's Examurai Prologue, which was released with EXILE's Love album.Currently, Prologue is available on Yahoo! Movies Japan for free viewing. EXILE Entertainment Best is scheduled to hit stores this July.

A community association of the Japanese town Ochi premiered its independent anime film at the Emperor Antoku Festival on April 29. The film is 100 minutes long, and is based on the regional legend of the Taira Clan Emperor. Local residents donated a total of 3.2 million yen toward production, and 30 regional citizens provided character voices.

According to Moon Phase, the third Higurashi no Naku Koro ni anime series will be released as a direct-to-video OVA, rather than a standard TV broadcast. The series, titled Higurashi no Naku Koro ni Rei,will hit stores later this year.
