According to Nausicaa.net, Studio Ghibli's upcoming Gake no Ue no Ponyo will receive an American release. Toshio Suzuki, a producer at Studio Ghibli, confirmed that producers Frank Marshall and Kathleen Kennedy were selected for a large-scale promotion. Currently, neither an American distributor nor a premiere date have been announced.

Gake no Ue no Ponyo will hit Japanese theaters on July 19.
