Be-Boy Gold magazine and manga artist Youka Nitta issued a public apology. Nitta recently admitted to tracing pictures in a Italian fashion magazine for her manga, Haru wo Daiteita. Fan examinations revealed another 30 plagiarized images. Despite her admission, Nitta claimed ignorance toward any unethical actions that she may have committed in copying the images.

Nitta has cancelled her appearance at Yaoi-Con as a result of the plagiarism scandal. This week, Nitta's blog and website were taken down, and Nitta announced that she will withdraw from the manga industry. Libre Publishing has halted production of Nitta's work, and removed all references to Nitta and her titles from the company's records.
