Producer Yoshinobu Nishizaki recently opened Yamato Studios in Tokyo. The studio was created to facilitate production of Space Battleship Yamato: Revival Chapter. Roughly 40 animators will staff the studio.

Yoshinobu Nishizaki has served as producer for all Yamato-related animation. Space Battleship Yamato: Revival Chapter has been in planning since 1994.
