The 122nd volume of Kaoru Kurimoto's Guin Saga fantasy novel series confirmed on its obi advertising sleeve this month that a television anime series is in planning for 2009.

Appleseed movie producers Micott & Basara announced plans to finance a Guin Saga motion picture in 2005, however, there has been no word on that front since then.
