Moon Phase reports that a fifth Slayers TV series is in production. The new series will be a continuation of the currently-airing Slayers Revolution. An official confirmation will appear in October's issue of Monthly Dragon Age magazine, which hits Japanese stores on September 20.

Slayers creator Hajime Kanzaka has stated previously that Slayers Revolution is the first part of a multiple-part storyline. However, the Dragon Age confirmation marks the first official announcement of a new series.

Slayers Revolution began airing in Japan on July 20 2006, and is slated to run for 26 episodes. Revolution is the first Slayers television series to be produced since The The Slayers TRY, which finished airing on September 26, 1997.
