AnimeNation reports that the October issue of Shukan Shonen Magazine contains an announcement for a new Hajime no Ippo(Fighting Spirit) anime series. The currently-unnamed title is slated to debut on Japanese TV next January.

Hajime no Ippo is based on the 2000 manga by George Morikawa. The first anime series was originally released in America by Geneon Entertainment.
