Shiho Niiyama succumbed recently to "Kyuusei Hakketsu Byou," which is sort of like leukemia. She was best known for her work as Seiya Kou/Sailor Star Fighter in Sailor Moon. She also played Deedlit in Shin Lodoss War and Suou in CLAMP Campus Detectives.

Shiho will definitely be missed and her loss will be mourned by the anime industry and fandom alike.
