Variety Magazine reports that Sony Pictures Home Entertainment created a new subsidiary to produce and distribute international properties on a global scale. This "International Product Expansion Group" has acquired international distribution rights to the Madhouse/Marvel-planned set of four 12-episode anime TV series centered around Marvel Comics characters.

The first series - tentatively focused on Iron Man and Wolverine - will be premiering on the Animax premium anime channel in early 2010.
