Bandai Entertainment announced that they acquired the rights to Kurokami. The show will air concurrently in the United States, Japan, and Korea. In the United States, Kurokami will air with an English dub produced by Bandai Entertainment, which will make Kurokami the first anime to have its dub produced in parallel with the Japanese audio.

Kurokami will be animated by Sunrise (Mobile Suit Gundam, Planetes). The premiere dates are as follows:

• Japan: January 8, 2009 at 2:40AM on TV Asahi
• US: Janurary 8, 2009 at 8:00PM on ImaginAsian TV
• Korea: January 9, 2009 at 10:00PM on AniBOX
