Voice Actor Osamu Ichikawa passed away on January 2, due to a heart attack. Ichikawa was 72 when he passed away in his Tokyo residence.

Ichikawa was a veteran voice actor that performed in various productions from 1960 into the current century. Among other roles, Ichikawa portrayed Macross' Golg Boddole Zer, Mobile Suit Gundam 08th MS Team's Norris Packard, and Space Battleship Yamato's Mil. Ichikawa also served as a key animator on Kimagure Orange Road, and a recording staffer on several other titles, such as Princess Nine and Galaxy Angel.
