The Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within movie won't be hitting theatres till July 11th, but Final Fantasy fans won't need to wait any longer for the Original Motion Picture Soundtrack, as it will hit retail shelves later today. The soundtrack features an epic, classically orchestrated score by Elliot Goldenthal (sorry, no Uematsu goodness this time around), whose previous credits include Interview with a Vampire, Batman Forever, Alien 3, and Sphere.

As an added bonus, the Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within OST features the two vocal tracks from the movie. The first vocal song is The Dream Within, performed by the inexplicably popular Lara Fabian (can you all say Celine Dion clone? I knew that you could!), while the second is a real treat for jrock fans. L'Arc~en~Ciel performs the ending theme, Spirit Dreams Inside, and while not the best L'Arc~en~Ciel song I've heard, Hyde belts out the English lyrics surprisingly well.
