    Kadokawa Shoten reps clarified that the April broadcast is not the much-anticipated sequel. The April run will actually be a re-broadcast of the original Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya across regional stations.

    Currently, there are no plans to release information regarding the second Haruhi series.

A TV commercial for the latest issue of Newtype magazine confirms that the second season of The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya will premiere in April. The March issue will reveal details about both the new season's staff and story.

For those still hungry for more Haruhi, the super-deformed Melancholy of Suzumiya Haruhi-chan and Nyoron Churuya-san spin-off series are scheduled for a YouTube premiere on February 13th. Don't worry, otaku of the world - you'll get your smoked cheese fix soon.
