The official Kiddy Grade website announced that a spinoff, titled Kiddy Girl-and is in production. Studio gimik, who worked on the original series, created the story. The series is set roughly 200 years after the original Kiddy Grade anime, and revolves around two new characters: Asukuuru and Ku Fiyu, who aspire to become members of ES, the galactic government's elite class of special agents.

The series' story was created by studio gimik, who worked on the original Kiddy Grade. Hidefumi Kimura (Kiddy Grade, Magical Shopping Arcade Abenobashi) will supervise the scripts, while former Kiddy Grade director Keiji Gotoh (Magic Knight Rayearth, Martian Successor Nadesico) will return to direct Kiddy Girl-and. Megumi Kadonosono (Clannad, Rayearth OVA) will return as the series' character designer. Satelight (Macross Frontier, Arjuna) will produce Kiddy Girl-and's animation.

Kiddy Girl-and Pure, a manga adaptation will debut in the May issue of Kadokawa's Comp Ace magazine. FUNimation currently holds the rights to the original Kiddy Grade, and has release the series on domestic DVD.
