Bang Zoom! Entertainment announced that Crunchyroll will debut a new dub for Makoto Shinkai's 5cm Per Second. Crunchyroll worked with 5cm Per Second's licensor, CoMix Wave, to create the dub for their presentation on Global Shinkai Day.

Global Shinkai Day will be held on February 28. Crunchyroll will commemorate the occasion by streaming Shinkai's three films: Voices of a Distant Star, Beyond the Clouds, The Place Promised In Our Early Days, and 5cm Per Second. ADV Films currently holds the rights to all three films, and has released all three on DVD.
