53 New Movies!
Before getting to the movies, I'll use this beginning to explain why we've been down longer than expected. If you don't care about this, just skip down a paragraph to read up on the 53 new movies! Anime Dream works systematically with a PERL script to update the page in a very simplistic form. However, the script itself isn't that simplistic. After the second hacking, or what I refer to as "Anime Dream's Second Impact", the updater script was shot. Something very bad happened to it. Basically, our favorite hacker found out how we updated and then made a bunch of updates on his own. In clearing these updates, a mistake must've been made or something because apparently the script doesn't work. However, this update was so massive, it had to go up now even if the updater script wasn't ready. What's more, the site hasn't been updated in two weeks and I think it's about time we get an update around here.
53 New Movies!! WOO HOO!! I'm going to list these by contributor, and then by title of anime in some random order. Yes, that sounds good and organized. We'll start with the contributions made by head editor Sumire Kanzaki. Sumire brings us the intro animations to Card Captor Sakura, Gundam X, Gundam ZZ, Gundam 08th MS Team, Macross 7, Saber Marionette J TV, Saint Seiya, Silent Möbius, Yamamoto Yohko, You're Under Arrest, You're Under Arrest SPECIAL, and Yuyu Hakusho. She also provides us with the ending credits of Adventures of Mini-Goddess (the Ah! My Goddess! Spinoff), Card Captor Sakura, DNA2, Record of Lodoss War TV: Chronicles of the Heroic Knight, Red Riding Hood Cha-Cha OVA, and the You're Under Arrest SPECIAL. Sumire also gave me some trailers she found across the net for Battle Athletes Victory, Slayers Great, Spriggan, and Tenchi Muyo: Tenchi Forever. She also delivered a GREAT Music Video for Cowboy Bebop, featuring the sweet song "Tank!".
Editor Feena provides us with a good batch of movies too! She uploaded intro movies for Nadesico, Nausicaa, Magic Knight Rayearth (Opening #3), Kimagure Orange Road (the intro with "Summerside"), Samurai Trooper (Ronin Warriors) OVA 2, and Video Girl Ai. She also put up a Japanese trailer for Princess Mononoke, or as it's known in Japan, Mononoke Hime. Thank you Feena!
A devoted reader who is very likely going to be an editor for Anime Dream in the near future is a man who goes by the name of "ElfShadow". This man has provided me with a very large number of very cool movies. He gave me intros for Armitage III TV, Armitage III: Polymatrix, Escaflowne, Himiko-Den, Iria: Zeiram the Animation, Key: The Metal Idol, Kodomo no Omocha (Kodocha), Outlaw Star, Queen Emeraldas, Slayers, and Slayers Next. He also provided ending credits for Escaflowne, Key: The Metal Idol, Kodomo no Omocha (Kodocha), Outlaw Star, Slayers, and Slayers Next. ElfShadow also gave me two other clips from Queen Emeraldas. Expect many more movies from this man, he has a stockload of this -Anime- stuff at his side!
This does NOT, however, finish up the list of new movies. RPGFan editor Parn gave me the intro animation and the Super-Deformed Parody from Record of Lodoss War TV: Chronicles of the Heroic Knight. RPGFan editor Zone Pharaoh provided me with a music video from Macross, and it is quite awesome. Finally, my good friend Peter Mergenthaler, known for pointing out cool news stories to me, provided me with a 3 minute clip from Transformers: The Movie. Being that we're all big Transformers fans, I felt it was imperative that I put this movie up.
Now that I've listed ALL the new movies, I'll tell you which ones you definitely want based on my viewing experience. The Card Captor Sakura movies are addictive, all of the Gundam movies are scary, the Himiko-Den intro is AMAZING and a MUST DOWNLOAD!!!, the Kodomo no Omocha movies are sickeningly freaky, the Lodoss TV movies from Parn are great, the Magic Knight Rayearth intros are breathtakingly-beautiful, the Nadesico intro is quite appealing, the Outlaw Star movies are contrasting in taste but are both brilliant, the Saber Marionette J TV intro is AWESOME!, almost all of the Slayers movies are good, the Transformers clip is a must-have, and finally the Yuyu Hakusho movie has a catchy song that really grows on ya.
Now that I've said my peace, go DOWNLOAD SOME MOVIES!. Oh, one final note: Our server has become very busy lately. If you try to download something and you are rejected, keep trying because you'll eventually get through the 300 connections limit. Ok? Ok!
