At Otakon there was a panel with Mr. Kawamoto of Cowboy Bebop fame, who had been asked several questions about the possibility of continuing the Bebop series and shared universe - you might've heard the rumors about the new series. Unfortunately, there are no plans of making a new Bebop series or any spin-off. The rumor originated from a number of fans jumping to conclusions from a translation error, nothing more.

Stopping another rumor in its tracks, Trigun's creator Yasuhiro Nightow denied that Madhouse had plans to produce a new Trigun series. Nightow seemed open to the idea of another Trigun production someday, however, and said "if the timing was right, they could make another fine film."
