The official Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann anime and film websites announced that the Yoko character's "idol debut" CD will be bundled with a DVD containing a new music video by character designer Atsushi Nishigori on May 27th.

The limited edition Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann: Kirameki Yoko Box ~Pieces of sweet stars~ CD will contain "S.T.A.R.S," a new song performed by voice actress Marina Inoue in her Yoko persona. Nishigori planned and directed entirely new footage for the song's music video. The DVD will also include a video interview with Inoue and a booklet with 130+ pages of storyboards, original drawings, and designs.

This spinoff project follows the Gurren Lagann Parallel Works music videos, which were released in 2008 to promote the first movie, Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann: Guren-hen. The second and final movie, Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann: Ragan-hen, will open in Japan on the 25th of April.
