Walt Disney Pictures announced that Ponyo - the English release name for Ponyo on the Cliff by the Sea - will open in American theaters on August 14th. Ponyo is the latest film by legendary anime director Hayao Miyazaki (Spirited Away, My Neighbor Totoro, Princess Mononoke).

The film tells the story of a boy named Sosuke (Frankie Jonas) and the friendship that develops between him and Ponyo (Noah Cyrus), a goldfish who wants to become human. Other talent in the dub cast includes: Cate Blanchett, Matt Damon, Tina Fey, Cloris Leachman, Liam Neeson, Lily Tomlin, and Betty White.
