Anime Insider editor Rob Bricken revealed that Wizard Entertainment will cease publication of the Anime Insider magazine. As of this writing, all editorial staff were laid off.

Anime Insider began in 2001 as a one-shot special titled Anime Invasion. The title was later changed to avoid trademark infringement. The magazine began as a quarterly publication, before shifting to a monthly schedule. The magazine shipped its 67th issue earlier this month.

Anime Insider outlasted most other anime-related publications including Animerica, which became a quarterly pamphlet in 2005, and Newtype USA, which ended publication in January 2008.
