I'd like to first thank everyone who's visited Anime Dream in the year and a half since the site's debut. We've always strived to be a little different from your average anime site, and I hope you've enjoyed it so far.

Anime Dream is in serious trouble though. We can't currently meet our server costs. Our costs average between $620 and $1,000 monthly. It would probably be less if we didn't host movies, but we hate to close down that section again. And having everyone and their mother linking to our Daft Punk videos doesn't help matters much.

That's why we're appealing to you, our readers, to help. We're currently trying to secure advertising from the various anime companies and retailers, but we have until the end of September to generate some kind of revenue for the site, or we're out. We don't want that to happen, and we're sure you don't either.

Information on the internet has always been free, and we wish we could keep it that way... but with the way ad rates are going, no one wants to support entertainment-based sites.

We're currently trying to think of different incentives for you guys to donate. Think of us like PBS... but with content you actually want. :)
