Tokyo Woman Arrested For Death Threats To One Piece Creator

On Tuesday, police arrested Tomoko Fukushige for sending threatening e-mails to One Piece creator Eiichiro Oda. According to the authorities, Fukushige's husband was dismissed from his position as Oda's assistant. In retailiation, she sent roughly 100 messages that contained statements such as "Die, Die" to Oda's mobile phone. The messages were reportedly sent between September and December 2007. Oda reported the incidents to the local authorities, after which they investigated the matter and made the arrest.
