Square-Enix started posting free online installments of a manga by Fullmetal Alchemist creator Hiromu Arakawa on April 9. The new manga is a four-panel comedy adaptation of the original Fullmetal Alchemist. Currently, two strips are available online, which were posted with a preview for Makoto Inoue's upcoming Fullmetal Alchemist novel. The next update will hit on May 14.

Last Sunday, the second Fullmetal Alchemist anime adaptation premiered on Japanese airwaves. Viz currently holds the rights to the Fullmetal Alchemist manga and novels. FUNimation has the rights to the first Fullmetal Alchemist anime series, as well as the new series currently airing in Japan. FUNimation offers episodes of the new series for free through its website in streaming format.
