California-based publisher Future US recently released a second one-shot issue of Future Anime magazine. Former Newtype Editor-in-Chief Gary Steinman served as the editor-in-chief for this issue, much like he did for the first. Steinman revealed that the second issue was produced due to strong sales of the initial issue, and that Future will consider publishing more issues if the new edition sells well.

The first issue of Future Anime hit newsstands in July 2008, and featured Gurren Lagann as a cover story. The new issue showcases Mobile Suit Gundam 00. Future US publishes a number of magazine titles, including Nintendo Power, Guitar World, and Maximum PC

Last month, Anime Insider, America's last monthly anime magazine, ceased publication.
