Sunsoft producer Tomohiro Seki revealed plans to develop an anime adaptation of Leiji Matsumoto's current manga series, Out of Galaxy Koshika.

The sci-fi adventure series is currently available digitally through the Nintendo Wii Shop Channel in Japan. For import console owners, the download also includes an option to overlay an English text translation.

Seki also announced plans to bring Koshika digital downloads to the iPhone and iPod, along with plans to franchise Koshika with games, music, and other merchandise. He also confirmed plans to distribute the title worldwide.

Much in the spirit of Matsumoto's previous works (Space Battleship Yamato, Captain Harlock), Out of Galaxy Koshika tells the story of a young boy who joins a starship crew and sets out on a journey across the galaxy to save the Earth from destruction.
