The official trailer for the Sakura Taisen movie has just been released, and with it new information has emerged on the quite mysterious movie's storyline. The story takes place in Taishou 15, after Oogami has left for Paris (as told in Sakura Taisen 3); deprived of its leader, the Flower Section will have to face a crisis on its own. While it looks like Oogami will be missing from the movie, it is now confirmed that Orihime and Leni, who practically didn't appear in the TV series and first OAV series, will have their part in the movie. More surprisingly, a new character will join the Flower Section, namely Rachett Altair, a blue-eyed blonde whose nationality is not known yet, and the trailer lets us take a glimpse at her:

To show in theaters across Japan starting December, Sakura Taisen: The Moving Picture is to be directed by Mitsuru Hongou, who previously worked on Crayon Shin-chan, Candidate for Goddess and Outlaw Star. The trailer unveils a bit more info on the staff, but nothing we didn't already know: Ouji Hiroi as the original author, Kouhei Tanaka as the composer, Kousuke Fujishima as the original character creator and Akahori Satoru (the games' story writer) as the supervisor... Movie length is reported to be 80 minutes.
