Fullmetal Alchemist OVAs Announced

The first Japanese DVD and Blu-ray volume of Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood will include a bonus anime feature. The OVA, titled Blindmetal Alchemist is an adaptation of Hiromu Arakawa's side-story to the original Fullmetal Alchemist. First-pressing copies of the DVD will also include the first episode of Hiromu Arakawa's 4-panel Theater (Arakawa Hiromu 4-koma Gekijou. 4-Panel Theater is an animated adaptation fo Arakawa's 4-panel gag comics. Currently, the Japanese release of the first volume of Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood is slated for August 26.

Hiromu Arakawa is the creator of the Fullmetal Alchemist franchise.

FUNimation currently holds the rights to both Fullmetal Alchemist and Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood. The first series is currently available on domestic DVD. FUNimation is streaming Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood concurrently with the Japanese television premieres via its website.
