NIS America announced that they will release Sakura Wars: So Long, My Love (Sakura Taisen 5: ~Saraba, Itoshiki Hito yo~) on the Nintendo Wii and Sony PlayStation 2 this fall. Sakura Wars is a strategy role-playing game that features a relationship system similar to most popular dating-sims. The game relies heavily on character interaction, as good or bad relationships can alter the storyline, or affect team members in battle.

Sakura Wars: So Long, My Love spans eight chapters, each with roughly five hours of gameplay.

In America, all of the Sakura Wars animation was released through ADV Films and FUNimation. However, the games have always been Japan-exclusive. Sakura Wars 5 originally hit Japan in 2005.
