Anime Expo announced that two key figures behind the Trigun anime will reunite at this year's Anime Expo. Yasuhiro Nightow and Satoshi Nishimura (Black Lagoon, Rurouni Kenshin, Revolutionary Girl Utena) will attend the convention as Guests of Honor. The two will be joined by Shigeru Kitayama (Noir, Excel Saga) and Noriyuki Jinguji (Hellsing Ultimate, R.O.D the TV), who are part of the staff of the Trigun film, due later this later. The four will host a panel in which they will share their experiences from working on both the Trigun anime and the upcoming film.

Nightow was the original creator of the Trigun manga. He also provided character deigns for the Gungrave video games and anime series.

Nishimura directed the original Trigun anime, and will reprise his role as director for the upcoming film.
