Alini Magazine Services revealed that Viz's Shojo Beat will cease publication with the July 2009 issue. Viz stopped accepting new subscriptions for the magazine several weeks ago. After July, Shojo Beat subscribtions will be converted to Shonen Jump, which will serve as a replacement.

Shojo Beat began publication with the July 2005 issue. The magazine was a sister publication to Shonen Jump, and featured manga titles aimed primarily at female readers in the 13-19 age group. In addition to manga chapters, the publication contained articles on Japanese fashion, beauty, and cosplay among other topics.
