Hayao Miyazaki Comes to America This Summer

Publishers Weekly journalist Kai-Ming Cha reports that legendary director Hayao Miyazaki will pay a rare visit to the US this July. Miyazaki will visit the Center for Japanese Studies at the University of California, Berkeley, to receive the second annual Berkeley Japan Prize for lifetime achievement.

He will receive the award on July 25th and participate in a talk hosted by Japanimerica's Roland Kelts. Miyazaki's appearance is required by a contract with Disney.
