Gonzo recently announced their financial results for the last fiscal year. Gonzo posted a total earnings of 6.332 billion yen ($66.13774 million US), an increase over the company's initial estimates of 6.1 billion yen ($63.7145 million US). However, the company posted an operating loss of 2.12 billion yen ($22.1434 million US), an ordinary loss of 3.401 billion yen ($35.523445 million US), and an actual loss of 2.351 billion yen ($24.556195 million US). Gonzo cited the declining DVD sales, as well as lowered expectations for the North American market for the difference between the company's estimates and actual figures for the year.

Gonzo's auditor, BA Tokyo & Co., did not offer a written evaluation on Gonzo's records. However, BA Tokyo did point out that Gonzo is limited in its ability to repay its debts.
