Aniplex announced that they will screen an English-subtitled version of Gurren Lagann the Movie -Childhood's End- at Anime Expo. The film was previously shown at FanimeCon last month, though the screening was in Japanese with no subtitles.

Gurren Lagann the Movie originally opened in Japan last September under the title Gurren-hen (Gurren Chapter). The second film, known as Ragan-hen) (Lagann Chapter) hit Japanese theaters on April 25.

Gurren Lagann's director, Hiroyuki Imaishi and character designer, Atsushi Nishigori will appear at Anime Expo as Guests of Honor. Currently, Bandai Entertainment holds the rights to the Gurren Lagann television series.
