Scheduled to hit retail shelves November 28th, the first issue of Elektra & Wolverine: The Redeemer will kick off the collaborative efforts of renowned writer Greg Rucka and highly acclaimed artist Yoshitaka Amano, both Eisner-award winners and masters in their respective crafts. A tightly woven 3 part mini-series, Elektra & Wolverine: The Redeemer tells a gripping, self-contained tale of action and intrigue, and features two of Marvel's fan favorites pitted against one another.

With an original page count of 48 planned for each of Elektra & Wolverine: The Redeemer's 3 monthly issues, plans have since changed; the second issue is now set to number at 64 pages, while still retaining its original price tag of $5.95. It's hard to argue with more lush Amano art at no extra cost!

Amano has worked in the American comic industry before, and to wonderful effect in The Sandman: The Dream Hunters. While it remains to be seen whether this next project targeted at the US comic market will be as successful, if Elektra & Wolverine: The Redeemer's artwork is any indication, it should have a marked impact. Take a peek at some art from the first issue:

In other Amano news, as a Thanksgiving treat to subscribers of the Amano's World mailing list, a special Turkey Day wallpaper was released. Unfortunately, the wallpaper isn't expected to stay up on Amano's World for long, so we've put up a mirrored copy of it on AD here. Enjoy and Happy Thanksgiving!
