Otakon announced that Naomi Tamura will attend the event as a Guest of Honor. She will perform in a concert on Sunday, July 19.

Tamura debuted in 1987 with the rock band Pearl. In 1994, she released the smash solo hit Eien no Ichibyo, which was later used in a Kameria Diamonds television commercial. She later performed the opening themes to Magic Knight Rayearth, Yuzurenai Negai and Hikari to Kage wo Dakishimeta mama. Both songs were hits - Yuzurenai Negai remained in the Oricon top 10 for seven weeks, and moved 1.2 million copies, and Hikari wo Dakishimeta mama sold over 700,000 copies.

Tamura continues to work in the anime world. She's recently provided theme songs for Pokemon, and Get Backers.
