Manga artist Hiroyuki announced that he will oversee the production of a new manga magazine titled Comic Gear, in which authors will all work in the same studio. The debut issue of Comic Gear will include over 90 pages of a new series by Hiroyuki. The magazine is currently accepting applications from manga creators that want to be pubished.

Hiroyuki is best known for creating Dojin Work. Dojin Work focuses on a group of doujinshi artists. Hiroyuki's latest work, Mangaka-san to Assistant-san to, revolves around the relationship between a professional manga artist and her assistant.

Media Blasters currently holds the rights to the Dojin Work manga and anime, and distributes both in North America.
