Having gained a measure of popularity in US during its first North American broadcast back in 1985, followed by airings on the Sci-Fi channel and later on the Cartoon Network, Bandai is now set to release Ronin Warriors on DVD home video. Scheduled for release on April 23rd at a retail price of $24.98, the DVD will feature the original uncut Japanese version of the show in addition to the dubbed English version of Ronin Warriors.

Originally known as Yoroiden Samurai Troopers in Japan, Ronin Warriors was produced by Sunrise, the studio responsible for such acclaimed anime as Escaflowne, Cowboy Bebop and Gundam, among others. The show's story centers on the struggle between a group of five young heroes and an evil dynasty obsessed with world domination.
