FUNimation Writer, Actor Spencer Prokop Passes Away

Anime News Network reports that Spencer Prokop passed away from pancreatic cancer on June 7. He was 51.

Spencer Prokop was a frequent contributor to FUNimation's dubs, as both a writer and an actor. He worked on a number of titles, including One Piece, School Rumble, and Darker Than Black. He also played numerous roles outside of anime, including parts in Robocop, Deus Ex, and Walker: Texas Ranger.

Prokop was fighting pancreatic cancer for two years. A public memorial service will be held on Monday, June 22 following a private service.
